MISSION: a shop with that provide natural and unique (local/handmade/fair trade) items as well as a community education space.
STORY OF RLT:
Road Less Traveled (RLT) started as the brainchild of Delilah Snell, who wanted to see something different in her Orange County community.
In August of 2005, she rented a 500-sq. ft. retail shop in an unknown spot on North Main Street where she saw the need for eco/non-toxic/sustainable goods with $5,000 of savings from working at The Gypsy Den. Over the next 6 years, her store became a hub for creative thinkers, community members and artists to find something literally of-the-beaten-path. In that time, RLT had won awards and media attention for eco-education and creativity, and Delilah lectures across the state on food sustainability, creative business development, DIY and green consumerism.
In February 2012, RLT moved to downtown Santa Ana to collaborate with Grand Central Art Center in a new home in the heart of the Artist’s Village. RLT has also partnered with friend and fellow green business Belly Sprout offering eco-beauty and natural parenting.

*OTHER PROJECTS*
Backyard In A Jar:  random nicole sponsors - backyard in a jar  In 2009 Delilah became a Master Food Preserver and started a line of artisan preserves focused on unique/strange items and the bounty from Southern California yards and farms. She teaches classes on food preservation at RLT almost monthly.
Patchwork Show: In 2006, Delilah and her niece Nicole (of Random Nicole) started an Indie Arts & Crafts Fair called Patchwork in the back parking lot of RLT with 20 vendors. The goal was to showcase handmade/local goods and have them available to the public in a one-day shopping event. In 2012, Patchwork has grown into 3 locations (Santa Ana, Long Beach and Culver City) with over 100 vendors in each location. More locations are currently in the works. We are always looking for people to help with each of the events-contact us for more info.
Craftcation Conference:  In 2012, Delilah and Nicole started Craftcation: a conference for vendors who would do Patchwork or are thinking about starting a small/creative business (retail, freelance, craft, etc…) with workshops on accounting, PR, scheduling, marketing, etc… and craft classes. The first conference was held in Ventura March 22-25 with additional locations and dates in the future.
